Here is an email that I received from one our customers, Toni Drummond.  Like you, she spent some time at the driver license office and offered her experience to us.  It’s a great story and an important lesson.  And yes, the recipe for motherhood is hers also.

“Patrick,

I must share this horrifying little story with you.  My 15 year old son and I were taking care of the paperwork at the DPS office just prior to him sitting for the written exam for the learner’s permit.  While being processed, this young man appeared from the testing room and the multitasking agent, with looking away from our paperwork, said to this young boy, “Well Michael, it looks like we will be seeing you yet again, however, I do not want to see you before Tuesday of next week. You really need to go over some things.”  Michael replied, “Yes, that ‘yield’ thing has me really confused.”

Thank you for a wonderful program.  My son was prepared thanks to the ‘in a box’ program and has an awareness of the ‘yield’ thing among others.  It is terrifying to know who is on the road, and inexperienced drivers unfortunately are out there waiting.  I get it now.  I understand, and so does my son, why experience is the end all be all for avoiding collisions.  What an Epiphany!
