Katy, Texas DPS office is closed - where to go now
Many of you either obtained your permit from the Katy DPS or you listed it on your DL-92 as the driver license office you intended to use. The Katy DPS driver license has since closed.
According to a DPS response we received from an inquiry we made to the DPS, you can go to any driver license office and that office should be able to assist you.
The direct line to the parent-taught office at the DPS headquarters in Austin is 512-424-5623 if you need to contact them directly. I hope you have better luck than I do when calling them. I have had trouble getting to speak to someone, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get through the first time.
My daughter had a report faxed and said they faxed it to the Katy office. Is there another DPS office in the Katy area I am not aware of? And yes - I called and asked for more specific details and got no where. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I don’t know if I can help you, I noticed this was posted in April. Well in March I put in a dps office in Katy and the website came up DPS in Katy 5456 Franz Road I thought Great but I called the number and it was a cell phone number I looked up the address it is Katy’s police dept. The web site was Merchants circle. Here is the phone number 281-391-4872 it is the cell phone number at first I thought DPS had opened a new office and it was still new and it hadn’t made the news yet. If you here anything let me know.
